Mammuhjálpin provides help to families and pregnant women across the Faroe Islands
We provide impartial counseling via phone, chat or in person. Your inquiry will always remain anonymous, unless you state otherwise.
You can call the phone line on 66 17 00 Monday through Thursday from 7pm to 10pm. Outside our opening times, you can call 77 17 00 or try our chat line.
You can write to us in the chat around the clock, where you will be connected with a counsellor. We can´t always guarantee, that someone is available.
You are also welcome to schedule an appointment and show up at Skansahúsið, and we also offer home visits.
At Mammuhjálpin we can connect you with a person, that wants to offer you practical help with your daily living. This can be babysitting, counselling, housekeeping or just talking. We have a network of people in different ages across the country.
If you need help with finding a place to stay, or if you need anything for your baby like clothes, strollers, cribs, diapers or other equipment, then we´ll be happy to try and help you.
If you are going through a tough time after you´ve had an abortion, you are also welcome to talk to us.
All services are of course free of charge.
